Dr. Robert Cialdini (a top-notch American Author & Professor) wrote an amazing book: Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion and gave globally recognized and accepted 6 powerful principles of Persuasion:
- Reciprocity – We like to return favours
- Commitment – Keeping our word, made in public or in some forum
- Social Proof – People follow testimonies
- Authority – A figure of command, generates authority
- Liking – Likable and persuade faster
- Scarcity – Short supply of something, makes it impulsive
